You Take the Lead

Q If you took the lead this week, congratulations! Please answer the following questions: 1. What questions did you create for your group discussion, including concepts from the chapter? Please place concepts/terms in bold, as possible. 2. Why did you select the concepts that you chose? Discuss specifically how they connected to what you viewed in the video. What I'm looking for here is "thinking about your thinking." In other words, the speaker said ________ and when you read the text, it made you think of _________. I'm looking for the connection you made. 3. Provide an overview of how you responded to these questions, yourself, in the group. 4. How do you feel you performed as the group leader? How did you intentionally get everyone engaged in the discussion? What went well? What would you change for next time? What strengths did you draw upon? What weaknesses would you need to work on? 1. Who was your group leader? 2. Describe the preparedness of your group leader. What did they do that showed you they were ready for the discussion? 3. Describe how well the group leader incorporated concepts from the chapter and related those concepts to the video. Give examples of the exact concepts that you discussed. Why do you perceive that the discussion leader chose those concepts? Do you feel they were chosen accurately? If the discussion leader did not use concepts, OR you disagreed with the ones chosen, OR they didn't tie the terms to the prompt given (video, article, etc.), which ones would you have incorporated and why? 4. Provide examples of how the group leader kept the group on topic and kept the discussion flowing. If the group leader did not do this well, discuss why and what could have been different. 5. As a member of the discussion group, describe what you contributed to the discussion? What would you change for next time? (Note, SAVE this response. You'll reflect on changes you made next time). Based on this experience, what would you do differently in other group conversations, in college or outside of college?

After presenting the concept I asked that if employees believe that the supervisor is responsible for maintaining the office, then what are the particular qualities that make them an ideal coach.
